Story
Donate and join me on a trek to protect the world's last remaining forests
I've been so inspired by the generosity of folks so far. Please join the awesome crew below and give a few dollars... and you can make the trek with me!
In October this year, I'll be donning a 10kg pack and hiking through the Indonesian jungle as part of The Greenpeace Jungle Challenge: Sumatra 2013.
Seven days of mountains, mud, rain, leeches, snakes, sweat, possibly tears - and hopefully an orang-utan or two.
Why, why on earth would I do this?!
* The world's forests are disappearing fast. Too fast.
* Around 80 per cent have been destroyed and continue to disappear at
an astounding rate.
* There are only 400 Sumatran tigers and 6,600 Sumatran orang-utans left in
the wild and their numbers are declining
* Indonesia the highest rates of destruction in the world.
So I'm in training for what is promising to be a pretty amazing adventure. I’m also raising funds to support Greenpeace’s great work protecting the world’s forests.
Any donation - big or small - will make a difference.
I'll be writing the names of all generous supporters - yourself included - on a trek t-shirt for all the jungle to see. So you’ll be making the trek with me!
